Welcome to Lou Osborne Photography, i am a Wedding & Portrait Photographer based in Southampton, Hampshire. My love for photography came at an early age thanks to my lovely Dad who was a keen amateur photographer. Since then I have always been very creative and a lover of photography which led me on to study Art and Photography at A level. I then progressed onto University to complete a degree in

Photography and more recently qualified to teach this subject at a higher educational level. A little more about me - I am from Southampton, studied at Itchen College and at Southampton Solent University. I have a bubbly personality which helps my clients feel at ease, I adore my other half and little dog Murphy. I like vintage and shabby chic things and also have a passion for shoes; I do have a rather large collection! However, my real passion and vocation lies in taking photographs, capturing special moments for my clients to treasure forever. I have collaborated with many local businesses including, Longdown Activity Farm, Little Lillies, and The Orangery Tea House to name but a few. My Wedding and Portrait photographic style reflects all the things I love by looking at fine details, using soft focus, natural light, pastel colours and texture to create gorgeous and romantic images. This is me! (Sorry I can’t help but have the tune to the greatest showman in my head reading that!)

I thought it was about time I did a little post about me, especially as I now have a few up-to-date behind-the-scenes from a recent wedding thanks to the lovely Wedding Photography Hampshire who second shot for me that day❤️

A few little facts about me:
~I photographed my first wedding at Westgate Hall in Southampton when I was 18!
~I am really creative & like trying new crafts/skills.
~I LOVE all dogs but I have an extra soft spot for scruffy terriers! I am a huge animal lover in general though.
~I live on the edge of the New Forest with my Hubby, 2 Children & 2 Scruffs.
~I have suffered with hearing loss & Tinnitus in my left ear for over 5years.
~I have 11 tattoos.
~I’m a soppy hopeless romantic.
~I cannot carry a tune but when I’m in the car alone or with my kids I love turning up the volume & singing my heart out - particularly after a wedding 🤍
~As you can tell from the first photo, I love to laugh- the kind where you throw your head back with a huge cackle type of laugh.
~If I could move anywhere in the world it would be Cornwall.

CORNWALL you have my heart.

These shots were taken last summer in Hayle, Padstow & St Ives.

I bought a small Fuji X100s for personal use last July ahead of our Australia trip & I’ve fallen back in love with carrying a camera with me for everyday - capturing my family moments not just on my phone but more intentionally with a camera.

We visit Cornwall most years, I’d move there if I could!

I’d absolutely LOVE to shoot some weddings there so do get in touch if you’re planning a Cornish wedding 🤍
