Today I had the absolute honour of giving a short PHOTOGRAPHY talk to our local Rotary Club. I have printed out a "few" of my favourite shots from across the 10 years of my life in this small rural town, South Molton. We discussed all sorts of topics, too.
Henri Cartier-Bresson's quote I opened up with is absolutely spot on; as I both draw (paint & sculpt) and shoot, the difference in all of these experiences is tangible.
I wonder what the future holds for me next? 10 years in Chulmleigh, now here... the endless quest for that perfect shot or artwork never ends. Looking through these years, one gains wisdom in how to navigate the society. I am extremely grateful for how the local community appreciates what I do. This tiny English town surprised me, as I've met some of the most incredible, inspiring people here (well... in North Devon!)
If being a photographer means one is in love with life, then I am!

The humpback whale I painted out of sheer adoration to whales and marine wildlife is still on a display at the National Marine Aquarium (and it will never stop being amazing to me as I did not plan for it to happen, but it did!).
I will have limited amount of prints of this artwork at this year's South Molton Summer Festival and our collaborative Art Exhibition. This photo is from an unfinished stage - only one pectoral flipper!

My artwork Naki will be on display and for sale at the South Molton Summer Festival's Art Exhibition on 8th August 2026. We will feature as much local talent as possible - making it the first collaborative exhibition of this kind in our town ever! I am getting pretty excited!

Happy Earth Day!

My video (which I still love) is now 5 years old... The original oil painting is on the display at the National Marine Aquarium - perhaps I could take it to South Molton for the South Molton Summer Festival and our very exciting upcoming ART EXHIBITION on 8th August - celebrating South Molton Pannier Market and our NATIONAL award as the Britain's Favourite Market of 2026!
