Monica Doshi Photography This collection of photos represents my journey as a photographer since starting in 2014. M xx Here is a collection of my photographs.

I have seriously pursued photography as a hobby since October 2012 and enjoy nothing more than going out with my camera to take photos. I love outdoor photography and my favourite subjects are wildlife and canoeing. I hope that you like what you see.

"Spots, Spots and More Spots"
There are three cheetah in this photo - two cubs and an adult. They were cwtched together, the cubs taking it in turns to suckle. I wanted to focus on one of the cubs, using the patterns of the others, filling the frame as a backdrop. M xx

"Otter with Long-spined Sea Scorpion"
Another one from a few years ago! The fish is commonly found in shallow coastal waters and is perfectly harmless despite the name! M xx

"On the Brink"
Good afternoon. Sorry I have not posted for a while - been busy with other stuff. Anyhow, here is one to be going on with.
This female hooded merganser was swimming right on the edge of the light and reflections and complemented the colours of both really nicely. This photo was taken in the autumn a few years ago at Slimbridge and making its debut today! Yep, tackling the backlog again! M xx

Winter Survival
Birds in the Environment: COMMENDED
Monica Doshi, United Kingdom

'Towards the end of a bitterly cold day, I noticed these shags interacting on a rocky ledge close to the path and carefully edged into position. I used a wide-angle lens to create an image that captured the shags as well as the essence of the place – the environment, the freezing cold conditions and the sky filled with the sound and constant movement of thousands upon thousands of airborne birds. After taking my pictures I slowly edged away so as not to disturb the birds.'

Sony a7R III with Sony 24mm f/1.4 lens. 24mm; 1/1,000s; f/11; ISO 400

"Coal Tit"
As I wade through my archives, streamlining and organising the photos in them, I keep discovering photos not yet used or seen! Today I bring you a coal tit. This small bird was captured during a cold, snowy, winter in the Caledonian forests of Scotland.
Have a lovely evening folks. M xx
