Photography by Emma Patch East Devon wildlife - and beyond when Covid permits! Enjoy!

I really enjoy a challenge, and chasing wildlife around the South West of England seems to be very challenging! I am often to be found stalking mammals in a muddy field or crouching over a river in the hope of capturing a kingfisher diving. I don't use Photoshop/Lightroom etc, so aside from a crop and maybe a brighten I'm sharing with you what I saw.

I’ve just realised I’ve severely neglected my page and haven’t posted anything on here since March!
I’ve still been wandering around, but not really with my camera.
Since Covid hit, time seems to have changed. I feel like I’m under more pressure, professionally and personally. Weekends seem to be fuller, I just have less time, I do hope this returns to ‘normal’ very soon. (Although I am currently hiding under my duvet suffering from my second bout of Covid)
Anyway, I digress. When my headache has allowed, I’ve been browsing through my phone and wanted to share my favourite photos, in the hope that they motivate me to make time to experience more of this!
I love the way they invoke memories, where I was, who I was with, what I saw, what happened. Each photo has a special story 😊

I usually plan my trips according to what I hope to photograph. Today I'm thinking an otter, maybe a kingfisher, I didn't expect a curious mink to come and see me on the river bank!

Dusted off my Nikon P900 for this mornings walk, I don't think I've used it to photograph the hares before as my D7100 seems to give sharper results with movement. I was quite pleased with this!
