I visited my local beach yesterday morning. A heavy band of cloud on the horizon muted the sunrise. I had this composition framed and waited for the sun to break through the clouds. When it finally got through, the light bounced off all the stones and shimmered across the sand.

Fifteen minutes earlier, this was a dull, lifeless shot….. anticipation and patience paid off.
