Judith Parkyn Photography Welcome to my page! Here you'll find regular updates of my wedding and other photography work. Enjoy! Hi, I’m Judith. I’d love to hear from you!

I have loved taking photos for as long as I can remember and am very pleased to say I’ve managed to turn this into a career. Based in Bristol, I photograph weddings, families and events, mostly in the South West but I take bookings from everywhere, even abroad! I specialise in documentary photography, meaning all of my subjects get to be themselves without having to pose for the camera. My approac

h to any photo shoot is casual, informal and above all unobtrusive so I can capture the natural images that most people prefer. When I’m not taking photos, I’m either exploring the great outdoors, planning my next camping trip with my husband Ben, getting excited about my latest interior decorating idea, catching up with friends, playing with our ginger cat George or cycling around Bristol. Enjoy looking through my page. If you like what you see and would like to find out more, please get in touch.

This is what happens when someone very camera-shy steps into the spotlight for the sake of her business.

Elly runs a busy beauty clinic in Sherston. During everyone single one of my recent nail appointments we talked about the importance of showing up online, especially as yourself and the way customers see you. So I'm very pleased to say that Elly now finally has a new set of images, produced in under an hour, that she is already proudly showing off on various platforms!

I'm incredibly proud of her and it was especially good to hear that she quickly started to feel more comfortable during the shoot. I think it shows in the images, well done Elly! And a huge thanks to the customers that volunteered to help out.

What an absolute pleasure to capture this graduation ceremony for a very special bunch of people that are part of the School of Humanity. It's not often I come across such a wonderful sense of togetherness amongst staff, graduates and their families. And that's saying something for an online school!

Well worth checking out for those looking into middle or high school for their kids: https://sofhumanity.com/

A few favourites of this incredible Roman Baths wedding that took place in the early hours of last Friday.

C & M are two hard-working midwives and they took some well-deserved time off after working through the UK’s hottest June on record (without air conditioning!). They are absolute heroes if you ask me 🙌

One of my best reviews from an Owlpen Manor wedding. I will read this when I need a pick me up!

“Judith is so good at her job! She is friendly, efficient, and has produced such gorgeous wedding photos for us. She really captures small beautiful moments, and we had quite a few people comment on how professional and stealthy she was! I didn't feel like I saw her at all, yet she was evidently everywhere. Her shots are natural, yet flattering, and we couldn't be happier with her work.”

I started writing a post to reflect on 2025 but frankly I didn’t know where to start. It was such a roller coaster year for me with the absolute high being my 40th birthday surprise party in Feb and the absolutely low the loss of my dad in July.

So instead I just want to give my thanks to all those who have supported me this past year, friends in the village and friends far away, those who planned my surprise party in top secret right under my nose, my dear clients many of whom I now also call my friends, photographers who stepped in when needed, my kids for still making me smile every day, and above all my other half Ben who has been there for me no matter what life threw at us. 2025 would have been unbearable if it wasn’t for all of you. Thank you so much 🙏
