I started writing a post to reflect on 2025 but frankly I didn’t know where to start. It was such a roller coaster year for me with the absolute high being my 40th birthday surprise party in Feb and the absolutely low the loss of my dad in July. ⁠
⁠
So instead I just want to give my thanks to all those who have supported me this past year, friends in the village and friends far away, those who planned my surprise party in top secret right under my nose, my dear clients many of whom I now also call my friends, photographers who stepped in when needed, my kids for still making me smile every day, and above all my other half Ben who has been there for me no matter what life threw at us. 2025 would have been unbearable if it wasn’t for all of you. Thank you so much 🙏⁠

Baby photos are not just for parents and grandparents. They are also the baby themselves. This is often overlooked however. When they grow up they should be able to look back on these photos and see how much they are loved.

I would never exclude parents from any newborn or baby photoshoot. I strongly believe families should be captured together and all the love that they have for each other. That's what makes baby photos truly precious, for everyone involved 💚

THIS IS IT - After 8 wonderful years of having children at home, they are now BOTH in school! My youngest started reception yesterday.

This is a huge milestone for me personally (wiping away a few tears) and professionally.

My photography business has existed for 10 years and it's done very well but I have never in all those years worked on it full-time. Instead I chose to put my kids into nursery only part-time so I could have a few days with them every week, one of the perks of being self-employed. It did mean having to work many, many nights and I was never able to fully commit myself to my business until now.

I’m incredibly excited that this moment has finally arrived. The businesswoman in me has so many plans for the year ahead and she can finally come back out after a long summer break 😄
