Shepshed and District Camera Club We're a friendly local camera club for anyone with an interest in photography who'd like to join an active club based in Shepshed, near Loughborough.

Although based in Shepshed, we have members who come from wide around - and that means Loughborough (!), Hathern, East Leake, Thringstone, Wymeswold for starters. We'd like to share our work with you and we hope that prospective members will join us via this page. Ask us questions about photography and we'll try to help you. There is a strong element of competition in our programme. Members find t

hat judges' comments on prints and dpis submitted for assessment help us to improve our photography. But we also hold self-help sessions and host lectures from knowledgeable photographers. We take part in contests outside the club, notably the 3-way competitions with Ashby and Coalville, the Sileby Open Exhibition, MidPhot, and latterly Photofolio. 2 weeks ago, the club held Round 1 of its League competition last Tuesday with some great photos entered in both categories. Congratulations to all the winners and well done to those who entered.

Last Tuesday, club members enjoyed a Studio Portrait Session with some members acting as model. This week there is a talk by club Chairman Alan Harris - ‘Algarve, More Than Just a Beach’
