As I always say to my clients, sharing who you are and what you have to offer is only as impactful as the way you choose to ✨communicate✨. Here are 5 content hooks that help build trust and intention with your audience:
1️⃣ “I wish more people knew about _”
It shows your audience that you have insight worth knowing about. It helps to inspire without educating, which is so crucial now as we move away from ‘you should do this’ language and lean into personal experience. Post it as a reel and use your caption for added information, or post as a carousel and add clarity with each slide.
2️⃣ “If you’ve been waiting for a sign to _, this is it”
Using language that encourages creates an association with your brand and how it supports audience interests. Help the algorithm send your content to the right people by using buzzwords, and don’t be afraid to get specific! Every little nudge to show what you offer helps.
3️⃣ “As a _, here’s your reminder to _”
Take this as comedic or thought provoking as you want! The intention is to reiterate your position of expertise and share a bite of insight as a ‘reminder’ to your audience.
4️⃣ “The biggest lesson I learned about _, and it’s NOT _”
Like the first hook, coming from a place of relatability with ‘I’ centric language stops people from shutting off and instead triggers curiosity. Pick a myth busting concept from your industry and frame it as a lesson to be shared.
5️⃣ “This is what it looks like when you _ in/at _”
This is another great hook for adding specific details to really tell the algorithm exactly what you have to offer. Show behind the scenes or clips of your customer base interacting with your brand. Choose language that inspires and encourages based on what you provide.
