I had been taking photos long before that, but when lockdown began, I used to stand at the door & take photos of birds in the garden & I was hooked!

🌸 Cherry blossom season on The Stray 🌸

One of Harrogate’s most iconic spring sights 💕

Being there gave me a very Bridgertonesque vibe, although I didn’t see anyone dressed in a Regency costume.

The Stray has been protected as open parkland since 1778, originally allowing visitors to walk freely between the town’s spa springs.

Around 200 cherry trees were planted in 1953 to celebrate the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II – now creating these beautiful tunnels of pink each spring ✨

Ring-necked parakeets enjoying the cherry blossoms 🌸💚🦜

These birds are not a native species and are definitely a bit controversial, but it’s hard not to admire the way they’ve learned to survive and thrive anyway. None of this was their choice… just nature doing its thing. They’re just doing what all of us are - finding food, staying safe, and making the most of where life put them.
