Every newborn session with a toddler sibling is so special and has its own lovely rhythm – moments of calm followed by bursts of giggles and high energy.

I love to document the newborn days in all their wonder – the cosy cuddles, the proud big brother or sister moments and the impromptu 'big squeeze' hugs.

It's also so important to let older siblings take centre stage and have some fun...some toddler favourites are 'hop little bunny', hide and seek, a kitchen disco or dinosaurs.

Plus get some special portraits with just you, as it is such a huge adjustment no longer being the baby of the family.

So whether your toddler is gently kissing their sibling or dashing about like a superhero, I'm here to capture it all for you.

'Donkey dinners' or a picnic with the donkeys are an annual June tradition for us.

I was so excited to take a sunset trip to the foxgloves and donkey meadow with this family.

I meet many parents who worry if their children will sit still for long enough for pictures.

But here's the secret...I'm not the kind of photographer wants you to sit still and say cheese.

I want you to make memories and have fun!

We'll let them run, play games, tickle fights, have a dance party and let any child/ren do what they and you love doing as a family.

I've been a family photographer for over 12 years now and know how to interact with children of all ages and family members to give you the best pictures.

First outdoor session of the year - it's soo great to be back outdoors again. This shoot was like something out of a fairytale, to celebrate this special little gent's first birthday.

We spent an hour and a half together, wandering and exploring the gardens, playing amongst the flowers and blossom. Thank you so much for asking me to capture your special day x x

Ahead of International Women's Day this Saturday, I thought I'd share something a little different… A few of the inspiring women in business I’ve been so grateful to have the privilege of working with and capturing this year! 📸💫

- Sophie - cares so much about bringing mums together and creates the most fun and welcoming events. I love nothing more than seeing mums become friends at her events ☕

- Ashlyn - was the first yoga class I attended when I moved to Sevenoaks, and I was hooked. Her outdoor sessions at and in the Lavender Fields are so special 🧘

- Sami - If I were to own a café in another life, this would be it! The food, the coffee (my absolute favourite!) and the café itself are so special 🧁
m.photography - the most creative soul and my work wife. We’ve been on this photography journey together for over a decade. Thanks for always being there, inspiring me, and pushing me further 📷

- Kim - we met a couple of years ago, and I’ve loved watching her turn her oh so clever idea for transportable baby and toddler mats into a product and thriving business.

- Tama - is the biggest ray of sunshine and also a voice note queen like me! I’m in awe of her for wearing two hats as both a doula and a photographer 👩‍🍼

- I wasn’t a huge fan of Pilates until I met Hannah, but her classes are brilliant, and she’s the loveliest person.

- Anisha - has grown her beautiful jewellery business in such a short space of time. I love hearing all her business insights and nuggets of advice. Plus, I want to own every single piece of jewellery she creates! 💍

There are so many more wonderful women in my life who I haven’t mentioned—my lovely clients, family, and friends—but you know who you are 💗

There is something so magical about early misty mornings, especially with this incredible couple ✨

I was so grateful to be able to spend time with them documenting their pregnancy in the pines in the soft morning light and before they became a three.

We also had to have a little dance during their shoot, as they're a couple who love to dance, plus it was a great way to stay warm as it was a cool winters morning.

Plus for shoots at this time of year outdoors, Im always on hand with lots of blankets and hot water bottles to keep you warm between shots.

February has been filled with dreamy newborn sessions, with so many caring older siblings—many who were under the age of two ✨

When you have a baby or toddler big brother or sister at your newborn session, I always tell families to go with the flow and expect the unexpected.

After nearly 12 years of doing this, you never have to worry—I've seen it all! That’s why we’ll chat beforehand to learn about your little one’s interests so I can tailor your session.

I always allow plenty of time for snack and milk breaks, and I’ve got plenty of tricks up my sleeve (including a few in my session bum bag!) to help little ones relax and guide as or if needed.

At your session, there'll still be beautiful moments of calm that we'll capture. But there'll also be beautiful moments of the unexpected - I’m here to capture it all for you.

I've been keeping a secret... my 'Yes Year' has come to an end!No, I'm not stuck in 2005—if anyone has read 'Yes Man' by Danny Wallace or watched the film starring Jim Carrey, you'll know what I mean.

When I returned from maternity leave last autumn, it marked the 10th anniversary of my baby and family photography business. I thought, let's see what the universe brings me. And oh yes, it brought me such a variety of wonderful creative jobs...

If I was available, I said yes—capturing a national conference, shooting a school prospectus, sporting events, dance performances, christenings, extended family gatherings, bridal shoots, and headshots. I even shot my first wedding in quite a few years!

So, what did I learn?

- I really enjoyed the variety and the adrenaline rush at times. Although, on a couple of occasions, I had moments of "Can I do this?" But I threw myself in and absolutely loved those shoots.

- I got to work with and meet some awesome, inspiring people, chatting all things motherhood (boy toddler tips always welcome!) and small business. Thank you for all your advice.

- It's given me such a boost to return to capturing the things I used to photograph years ago, as well as trying new things. Baby and family shoots will always have my heart, but it's been brilliant to mix it up. I hope a bit of variety continues into next year and beyond.

A job for the new year to add some of this work to my website too!

A huge thank you to everyone who has worked with me this year. I am beyond thankful to you all.

Bring me all the cosy autumn and winter home family sessions ☕🌰🍂After shooting outside for most of spring and summer, I'm excited to be venturing indoors again.

Perhaps you'd like a session at home remembering just how your life at home is right now.

Snuggled up together, pillow fights, playing with your little one's favourite toys and documenting a favourite activity such as baking, having a little tea party or breakfast together - to capture all the personalities and wonder of your family.

Here are some pictures from a session last winter to celebrate this birthday boy. I'm always so truly honoured to be asked to capture birthdays, particularly first birthdays as it is such a big milestone for your baby and you as a family.
