The Alzheimer Heroes
When people give their time, energy and money for a good cause, you have no choice but to devote your time taking special photographs of the event. This was what I did on Friday the 9 December 2016. It may probably not be the best shot I have ever taken but it is certainly coming from passion and from the works of charity as well. I drove 35 kilometers from Manchester to Wigan for this yearly event and I was not in any way disappointed. Tony Ward and his crew were just unbelievable fantastic singing and entertaining visitors in this popular Bryn Labour Club, Ashton in Makerfield in Wigan.
The Alzheimer event organised yearly was to draw attention of visitors to the number of people suffering Alzheimer in our community and the world in general. It is true that over £10,000 has been raised by the untiring efforts of the Wards, their families and friends. It is just astonishing what people could do as good Samaritans, lovely neighbours and caring members of the society we live in. This is a clear intervention from spirted people who understand how well to care for their communities in words and in deeds.
Kudos to the organisers of the Alzheimer event, they have done marvelously well. They have once again reminded us that Alzheimer is real and the suffering associated with it is real too. It could happen to any of us. They have reminded us that any donation to the cause will eventually provide a breakthrough in the cure and curtailment of Alzheimer. We all have a duty to support this noble cause. This is a reminder of our civic duty to our society. Thanks to the Wards, their families and friends for oraginsing the Alzheimer event to create awareness and raise funding. Dave Jeanette
