If you have a PC- or Mac-based video editing system, we can provide 8mm film to Mini DV or DVCAM digital tape, allowing you to edit your own 8mm film. Please note, we do not charge extra for 16mm film to DVD sound film transfer.

We often see reels that haven’t been played in 30–50 years. Sadly, film can fade, warp, and become brittle if it’s left too long.

A few simple tips if you’ve got 8mm / Super 8 / 16mm at home:
✅ Keep it cool and dry (avoid lofts and garages)
✅ Store reels upright if you can
✅ Don’t try to “clean” film with household products
✅ If it smells musty or looks dusty, get advice before running it through a projector
