The last day of the Meteorological Summer 2026. What a summer it has been. I wont pretend that I have managed very well with the constant heat. Being outside in 30+c is ok, but in the UK our houses do not have air con and the heat inside has been opressive.
Here is a view from Holbeck Scarborough. Lets hope we have a fresher and cooler autumn.

First of all, my apologise for not posting for a long time. Everything is fine for us, it's just life has got in the way...

First of all, my apologise for not posting for a long time. Everything is fine for us, it's just life has got in the way and Carol and myself have other interests to persue. We have been taking photographs, but manly on our walks at Burton Rigg nature reserve in the cool of early morning.
This one was taken t Burton Rigg this morning (August 30th) at 06:41am as the sun was rising over the tree line.

The last day of Spring 2026 and we are at the nature reserve in the cool air of dawn. Walking the dog before it gets too...
