Many people here know us through our family portrait work, but Kismet has always been about more than one type of photography.

Alongside our portrait sessions, we also work with artists, makers and small businesses, providing artwork reproduction, fine art printing and creative commercial photography from our Salisbury studio.

At the heart of it all is the same love of colour, detail, craftsmanship and creating beautiful things with care.

Over the coming months we’ll be sharing more from this side of the studio alongside the family photography you already know us for. Thank you for being part of the journey.

It has been a long process moving out of our lovely old barn, and this weekend will see the final push of our move before we hand it back.

In the meantime, we are settling into our new space in the heart of Salisbury, still surrounded by packing boxes and things needing new homes, but, slowly it is starting to feel like ours.

We're in! Still much to do to make the new place feel like ours and carve out the next chapter for Kismet Photography & Print. The booking diary for Kismet's family photography (formally known as Little Bean Baby Photography) will be live by the weekend.

I am excited to get back to capturing treasured memories, and doing what I love.

❤️ This Valentine’s Day, I’m thinking of my best friend — and of everyone living with and fighting Motor Neurone Disease.

Liz had so much love to give. Even when she was struggling, she was still thinking of others. With limited mobility, she and her daughter made beautiful cuddly hearts and sent them to complete strangers, hoping to bring comfort in their final days.

This photograph was taken in 2021. MND stole her from us in 2024.

❤️ Love isn’t just for Valentine’s Day. It’s for always.

An Update from the Studio

Kismet Photography and Little Beans has evolved.

The studio now works across two distinct but complementary areas: classic family portraiture and professional art reproduction for artists and makers.

Family sessions remain beautifully lit with minimal props to give you timeless portraits designed to become lasting heirlooms. The focus is on family-led sessions rather than posed newborn-only photography, with very young babies photographed with their parents.

Alongside this, Kismet provides colour-accurate art reproduction and giclée printing for artists, as well as studio photography for creatives and small businesses.

Across all work, the approach remains the same: thoughtful lighting, careful composition and attention to detail.

After a prolonged absence from socials, I am emerging with new changes afoot. I have been beavering away in the background doing all those invisible tasks behind the scenes that take forever and that you don't see!

There is still much to do with web site updates for both Little Beans and Kismet Photography, CRM updates, admin processes, spread sheets, planning and the list goes on . . .

For now, just to keep the algorithms happy, here are some recent images of a cheeky little chap that comes back every year with his Mum for his portrait updates. His school portraits were not exactly what Mum had hoped for so we had a bit of fun taking photos the Kismet way!
