One of my favourite seabirds, the Northern Gannet 💙

I’ve just spent a week up in Yorkshire and visited RSPB Bempton Cliffs every day I was there. Most of the bird species have now left the cliffs and gone back out to sea, but there were still plenty of gannets around.

Here’s one of the shots I got of a gannet in flight. I hope you like gannets as much as I do because there are plenty more to come! 😍

What a bird! 😍

A few weeks ago, I made the 4 hour drive from Dorset to Pembrokeshire to see the absolutely gorgeous Western Reef Heron.

This was a bird I definitely wasn’t going to miss, especially as this bird is a first for Britain! And after all the driving, I was very relieved to find it was still there when I arrived!

It was definitely worth the 8 hour round trip. Here are a few of my favourite photos from the day 📸

I think this is the rarest bird I have photographed so far! And what an absolute stunner he is 😍 This little guy is a Bluethroat, and a scarce passage migrant here in the UK. And when I heard there was one hanging around not too far from where I live, I knew I had to try and see it 😍

Common birds deserve love too 🥺❤️

The Dunnock - probably one of Britain's most overlooked birds. Yes they're just little brown birds with no flashy colours, and they're common. But I think they are beautiful, and definitely deserve as much love as rarer and more brightly coloured birds 🫶🏻

Something a bit different today! It's not a bird and not my best work, but it was my first time seeing a lizard in the wild so I wanted to share! 🦎 I'm told that this little guy is a Common lizard, but I am happy to be corrected if that is wrong 😁
