Some shoots just have a lovely story behind them and this one certainly does.

This family session was a thoughtful gift from the wonderful Laura Collett, who many will know as one of the world’s top event riders. Laura wanted to surprise her great friends and long-time supporters Amy and Gary with something they had been meaning to do for ages, a family photoshoot. Like so many of us, it had always been one of those “we’ll get around to it one day” things, and Laura knew how much it would mean to them to finally have these moments captured properly.

We planned the shoot at home, starting with Henry and his pony William, the absolute dream team, before heading out around the estate for family portraits. Gary had definitely passed on the classic thumbs-up trick to little Sid, which was possibly the cutest thing I have ever seen. Henry, on the other hand, took his modelling duties very seriously and absolutely nailed it.

Another amazing shoot this morning at 🙌🏻

I can’t wait to show the results but you’ll have to wait as this is for a very special ongoing campaign for all the horses at Lucknam. Being still with your horse and just loving them is everything. They bring such a lot of love and joy to our lives and it’s important to slow down and let them know how much they mean to you. Sophie asked me to capture the closeness and stillness they share together and this is one of my favourite images from her shoot. I actually have a lot of favourites from this session honestly, and will be posting a few over the next few days. Thank you for trusting me and for letting me share time with Hugo, he’s incredibly special 🥰🥰🥰
