So my t-shirt with around 100 signatures from actors who have appeared on Stargate SG-1 is now framed and home.

Started this in 2000. The last signature went on in 2025.

Now all I need to do is workout where to put it and of course identify who is which and list them on the back. Some are easier than others 🤣

Took a trip up to Brookwood Military Cemetery for a CWGC tour.

I only saw a small part of the cemetery as this meeting focused on the eagle squadrons of the second world war. However, as usual was very informative.

Burials continue, the dates on the gravestones as well as the names often telling their own stories.

Though the area is officially in drought, however you can probably guess which section has its own underground irrigation system.

Interestingly, it coincided with a last post ceremony in which members from Ypres attended.

During the second world war when at the Menin gate they were unable to hold theirs, the tradition was held at the cemetery and continues since then on the 1st Sunday of the month.

Not content with the 13,000 steps I'd already completed next step traveling 40 minutes or so outside of Krakow and visited the salt mines.

800 steps (literal wooden steps) down and another 10,000 steps to finish the day. Very interesting location, especially considering the majority of the salt was mined by pickaxe. The tour culminates in the biggest of the Chapels and then a sardine pack ride back up in the miners left.

The Wroclaw dwarfs are everywhere, over a 1000 of them and some have migrated to other locations around the world.

Linked to the orange alternative movement of peaceful protest in the 1980s where students protested the Communists regime without resorting to violence. Activists painted them on walls and wore orange pointy hats. Protesters would and flowers to the police who as The protesters were not being violent did not know how to treat them.

In 2001 to celebrate this unique moment in history, a bronze statue was created the first being Papa Krasnal (papa dwarf).
