2 bed apartment, St Ives

My first property of the season, and a real treat. Emma and her dad spent 2 years renovating the Old Sail Lofts, a characterful building tucked away in one of the harbour's cobbled backstreets.

From the moment I stepped inside I was taken with the original granite walls and crooked wooden beams they'd left in tact, and the open plan kitchen/lounge/diner upstairs pouring in natural light was an unexpected surprise in such a historic building.

When the space is this beautiful it's a real joy to photograph.

Hello! I hope everyone has had a great summer season whether you've been in beautiful Cornwall or anywhere else in the world ☀️

Perfectly situated for both East and West-facing sea views over St Ives Bay, this beautifully renovated 3 storey property oozes with contemporary style and natural light, making it a dream to capture. The bedrooms were both bright and calming, and the courtyard was a real suntrap on a sunny September day.

It's been a joy shooting so many wonderful properties in St Ives this season, rediscovering its quirky narrow streets and centuries-old fishing cottages- and how clear is that water!

A departure from the old fishermen's cottages I've been shooting in St Ives centre lately, this modern eco home offers a bright and contemporary space for a large family. The centrepiece of the open kitchen/lounge/diner was undoubtedly the solid wood dining table, and each bedroom was furnished with characterful items like classic children's books and cosy wool blankets. If it weren't for the cosy top floor reading nook I would've had to say my favourite space to shoot was the garden with its striking array of plants.
