Morning Prep - What am I looking for?

I love spending the morning with you, I feel like its a really nice part of the day where I get to be a second pair of hands and get to know you and your girls before the rest of such a fast paced day.

In this time I am keeping my eye out for the laughter, any tears, the details, cute moments between you and your bridesmaids, fun places for photos, natural light and so much more. I also make sure I include your hair and make up squad in your photos too because together, we all play a part in make you look and feel a million dollars on your day.

I feel that spending roughly about 2 hours with you is the perfect amount of time to capture everything. And if you don't want to be photographed with no make up on (I'd feel the same) then thats absolutely fine. There's plenty of other things for me to capture until your ready.

What have I been up to portrait wise lately?

So yesterday I held a positivity party for a beautiful little soul and I photographed the session alongside hosting it.. I empowered the girls using positive affirmations and then I photographed them being their authentic sassy little selves. By Divine Moon

In the summer I also captured some website content for the fabulous Deity Dreadlocks, she makes absolutely stunning dreadlocks for women but also these gorgeous festival braids for children!

I also recently photographed a beautiful newborn & sibling shoot. These shoots fill my cup, they are always an absolute joy to capture.

I also photographed an amazing Bar Mitzvah a few weeks ago too! This was such a good night the vibes were 10/10 and I loved capturing the energy of the evening. I met the beautiful Mahalo Glitter Pod ladies and watched the amazing Stephen Grey do insane tricks with a football.

Coming up I have a 1st birthday shoot, a cake smash, a two day retreat and a wedding 💖

What's a golden image?

To me its the photos I take on your wedding day that you don't know I'm taking. The ones that when you see them bring you right back to the feeling.

The ones that are absolutely GOLDEN to me are the photos of your grandparents or the way your children's eyes light up when they see you in your dress. They are the images that would mean the world to me so its my job to capture them for you.

These are moments that are unplanned, I have to be there in the moment to capture it, thats why I always recommend a full day photography package, because these beautiful memories happen all day and when else in your life do you have a photographer with you looking for little pieces of gold like these images at the end.

Still not over this shoot!

I first met Abbi & Cam at open evening where we had an instant connection and after a few hours they had already been in touch to secure me as their wedding photographer.. when Abbi messaged me about an engagement shoot and suggest Albert Docks I was absolutely made up.

I knew this would be a place where there would be so many great opportunities for fun but beautiful photos.

I've wanted to do more city shoots for ages and this one went exactly as I had envisioned in my mind.

I can't wait for the wedding ❤️

Every wedding is different. Unique to you. But one thing doesn’t change — me.

I’ll always show up with the same energy, enthusiasm and genuine love for what I do.

I’ll be your extra pair of hands on the day. I’ll blend in like a guest, calm you down when the nerves kick in, fix your dress, straighten your veil and pick confetti out of your hair.

I’m not just your photographer.

I’m fully invested in your day. Why? Because I absolutely adore seeing people in love. Being in that little bubble with you and capturing it all brings me so much joy.

And honestly, I’m welling up writing this thinking back to my recent weddings because I just bloody love my job. 😂

It’s the BEST, and I feel incredibly lucky that I get to do this.

These photos where taken in 2021, they look like they could have been taken yesterday ❤️ that's what I love the most about my signature wedding preset. It is timeless. 😍
