One thing I always encourage during a newborn session is for parents to get in the photos too 💕

I know it's tempting to say:

"Just photograph the baby."

But years from now, your little one won't just want to see what they looked like as a newborn.

They'll want to see you.

The way you looked at them.
The way you held them.
The way you couldn't stop smiling at them.

Those are the photos that often become the most treasured.

And I promise, one day you'll be so glad you stepped in front of the camera too ✨

What started as a fun photo when he turned one somehow became a birthday tradition.

Looking back through these photos is like looking through a scrapbook of his childhood - the things he loved, the phases he went through, and all the memories in between.

One year it was construction.
Another year it was Minecraft.
There was even the year we surprised him with a puppy 🐶💙

We actually did this year's cake smash yesterday, but you'll have to wait a little longer to see the photos! 😆

Being a photographer has taught me how important photos are, but being a mum has taught me just how quickly childhood flies by.

One minute they're small enough to tuck into a bowl like this, and before you know it they're running around keeping everyone on their toes!

One of my favourite things about newborn photography is capturing all those little details that change so quickly - the tiny toes, squishy cheeks and sleepy expressions that make this stage so special.

One of the questions I get asked most often is what happens if a baby doesn't settle during their newborn session.

The answer is simple - we work around them 💕

Babies don't arrive with a plan for the day, and they certainly don't know they're having their photograph taken!

If they need a feed, a cuddle, a nappy change or just a little time, that's exactly what we do.

Newborn sessions are completely baby-led, which means there's no pressure and no rush.

The goal isn't just beautiful photos - it's making sure everyone has an enjoyable experience too.

After all, these are memories in the making ✨

After many years with our beloved Curious Moments bear, it felt like the right time for a little refresh. 🐼🤎

If you know me personally, you'll probably know that I'm completely obsessed with pandas! They've always held a special place in my heart; even having my very own panda themed cake smash when i turned 40 😆 So when it came to creating a new look for Curious Moments, introducing a panda felt like the perfect next chapter.

Just bring baby, milk, nappies, and anything that helps them feel settled. I provide everything else, from wraps and props to guiding you through the whole session.

It’s all designed to feel calm, easy, and completely stress-free 💕

And honestly… that’s completely okay 💕

Sessions are always baby-led, with plenty of time for feeds, cuddles, and comfort. There’s no rush, no pressure — just a calm, gentle space where we work around your baby.
