Well, I have to say, I needed this. This hint of normality (I'm well aware things are far from it) was very much needed for our family. Having been told by a friend that the guidance changed a few days ago to allow short drives to take your daily walk, I suggested to George that we go to our favourite local bluebell wood to take some portraits of the girls, something which is becoming an annual tradition. I really needed this slice of my old self back, it felt so good to be behind the camera, doing what I love, with the people I love, in a time where everything is so strange and uncertain. I needed that buzz of taking some great photos, and being excited to get home and edit them. I needed to feel like my professional self for an hour, in between being Mummy to these two amazing but very demanding beauties. One thing that can be said for this global crisis, is that I am really appreciating the beauty of nature, and seeing the bluebells is one of my absolute favourite moments of the year. It felt so special to take the girls there, and such a massive treat to get in the car as a family for the first time in a month!
