I am a Mum of 2 and have worked with children for many years before taking up a love for photography. So before you trust me with your newest and most precious bundle of joy,
let me tell you a little bit about myself. I qualified in 2002 with a Diploma in Childcare and Education and spent a number of years working as a nursery nurse in a popular Ryde nursery. In 2006 I married my wonderful husband
Nathan, then in 2008 we were blessed with our beautiful daughter Abbey – this is where my love for photography first began. Obviously with a new baby in our lives we were constantly ‘snapping’ away at our perfect ‘model’ and Abbey was used to the spot light after just a few hours of entering our world. Over the years we have taken literally thousands of photos and after we were blessed with our 2nd cherub, Jacob, in 2012 I decided I wanted to change my career path. Whilst surfing the web for photography tips I came across a site specialising in Newborn photography - and let’s just say I fell in love!! I called Nathan that instant and said “I’ve found it; I know what I want to do….”
These babies look so angelic, so cosy and definitely cute! I started training, gathering equipment and ‘shooting’ the youngest model I had, who being almost 7 months at the time wasn’t quite the ‘Newborn’ I was seeking; although Jacob has become quite the poser and I have managed to capture some gorgeous images of him! So I called upon a friend who had recently given birth and asked to borrow her beautiful baby boy, Thomas, for the day. She was of course more than happy to help and was later overwhelmed by the wonderful images we managed to take of her bouncing baby boy! And that was it; photographing Thomas confirmed how I felt - I loved photographing Newborns, and so…
Naturally Newborn was ‘born’!! Although Newborn photography is my speciality, I’m happy to photograph babies and children of all ages in the studio or on location.
