Good morning, good evening or good night, wherever you might be..āš¼
For years, my photography has been centred around long exposures, incredible landscapes and waterscapes of the Nordic countries and Iceland. Those places, and that style of photography, will always be at the heart of what I do.
Lately, though, Iāve been having a lot of fun exploring a new perspective⦠by taking to the skies.
Discovering familiar landscapes from angles Iād never have imagined. Itās a completely different and epic way of seeing the world, every flight teaches me something new. Thereās still plenty to learn, but thatās all part of the journey, the creative possibilities are vast.
Iāve finally created a dedicated aerial gallery on the Chop website to share this growing collection of images ā āDrone Visualsā
Itās something Iāll be adding to over time, and so I thought it would be nice to bring you along for the ride.
I hope you enjoy watching it evolve as much as Iām enjoying creating it, although at times the knowledge can be a tad overwhelming, and learning to use your Shriek thumbs is a tad fiddly! But, weāre getting there.
In November, Iāll be returning to Iceland for my tenth photographic trip to the island. Although itās a place I know well, this visit will be very different.
Iām pumped to rediscover some of my favourite locations from an entirely new perspective, and looking forward to sharing the footage and captures taken.
Plus, Iād love to know what you think of this new direction?!
If thereās a favourite aerial image youāve seen so far, or somewhere in Iceland youād love to see from above, let me know in the comments, and Iāll do all my best to keep my audience riveted.
As always, thank you for your continued support. CP
