🎬 We make cameras. But apparently, not film stars ... although our resident self-confessed thespian, Adrian Kirk, might disagree! 😂

We've been doing a spot of filming at 360 Vision Technology Ltd HQ recently, and it's fair to say there have been a few creative differences between the talent and the production team!

Apparently, camera angles are VERY important. As is knowing where to look. And who knew alien alarm zones were a thing?! 👽😂

Over the coming weeks, we'll be taking you behind the scenes at our UK manufacturing facility, sharing a genuine glimpse of the people, processes and engineering expertise behind our ruggedised PTZ and fixed surveillance cameras.

No fancy studios; no elaborate scripts; no carefully choreographed performances. Just our people, our factory and a look at what really goes on behind the technology.

But first - a little Friday fun with a couple of moments that didn't quite go according to plan!

Made in Runcorn - Deployed in Warrington - Trusted Worldwide!

It's always rewarding to see our surveillance technology in action around the world, but there's something particularly satisfying about seeing it deployed just a few miles from where it's manufactured!

Last Friday, two of our Predator PTZ cameras were spotted on Cheshire Police (Cheshire Constabulary)'s Live Facial Recognition (LFR) vehicles during their first deployment in Warrington town centre.

Our cameras formed part of the wider surveillance equipment supporting the operation, which Cheshire Police subsequently described as its most successful LFR deployment in the county to date.

And the results were impressive.

Described by Cheshire Police as their most successful LFR deployment in the county to date, the operation processed over 4,750 faces, helped identify wanted individuals, resulted in arrests and alerted officers to two missing people.

Chief Inspector Joe McNally, who oversaw the operation, commented: “These results demonstrate how this technology can support officers in keeping our communities safe.”

Manufactured at our facility in Runcorn, Cheshire, our ruggedised Predator PTZ cameras are trusted in demanding surveillance applications across the UK and internationally.

Seeing them supporting policing operations right here on our doorstep is a particularly proud moment for the 360 Vision Technology team.

Today, Saturday 10 October 2026, marks both World Mental Health Day and World Homeless Day.

These are two important occasions that are more closely connected than many of us might realise. The relationship between homelessness and mental health is complex, and the statistics are sobering.

According to Homeless Link's Unhealthy State of Homelessness 2025 research:

• 77% of people surveyed who were experiencing homelessness reported having at least one diagnosed mental health condition.

• 67% of recorded mental health diagnoses existed before the individuals experienced homelessness.

These figures highlight a difficult reality. Mental health challenges can contribute to someone's vulnerability long before they lose their home, while homelessness itself can have a devastating impact on psychological wellbeing.

At 360 Vision Technology, much of what we share naturally reflects our work and the industry we serve. But some conversations go far beyond business. Today, we want to use our platform to help raise awareness, challenge assumptions and recognise the importance of understanding and support.

Behind every statistic is a person. Someone with a story, circumstances we may know nothing about, and the same need for dignity, understanding and compassion as anyone else.

We can't always know what someone is going through. But we can choose to listen rather than judge, show kindness rather than make assumptions, and recognise the importance of support when people need it most.

Today, we encourage our network to look a little closer, lead with empathy and recognise the invaluable work of charities supporting those facing homelessness and mental health challenges.

What does UK manufacturing really mean?

It's National Manufacturing Day today, so we wanted to give you a quick look behind the scenes at 360 Vision Technology and introduce some of the people and processes behind the cameras we manufacture.

For us, UK manufacturing means having the people, knowledge, experience and capability here in the UK to design & develop, build, test and support the ruggedised PTZ and fixed surveillance technology we put our name to.

We’ve been manufacturing cameras in Runcorn, Cheshire for over 20 years, and that provenance really matters. It means knowing where your surveillance technology comes from, knowing the people behind it, and knowing there’s a UK team here to support it.

We describe our Predator and Invictus PTZ surveillance cameras as IK10 rated - but what does that actually mean?

The IK rating measures the level of protection an enclosure provides against external mechanical impact. At IK10, that means withstanding an impact energy of 20 joules - equivalent to dropping a 5kg weight from 40cm - and when you're designing surveillance technology for demanding environments, that's something worth putting to the test.

In this video, we're doing exactly that – impact testing key areas of the Predator, including the upper and lower IR illuminators and camera housing. And we don't simply take our own word for it. Predator and Invictus are independently tested by an external test house to verify their IK10 rating.

Why does it matter?

Surveillance cameras rarely get an easy life. They're installed in exposed locations, public spaces and critical sites where accidental or deliberate impact can be a very real consideration.

For the team at 360 Vision Technology, ruggedisation is more than something to put on a datasheet. It's part of designing a camera for the environment in which it's expected to operate.
