OPL provide site services to the construction industry as a Site Engineer in the form of positional setting out, site control, datum control, progress records and construction as-built surveys and drawings. More recently I have qualified as a SUAS/Drone pilot, to UK CAA GVC standard required for commercial operations and also p
assed the A2 Certificate of Competence. I am currently doing a marketing course with UAVHUB for Drone business, whilst practising and fine tuning my flying and camera skills to improve the quality of the end product, which hopefully in turn will give prospective clients a sense of reassurance and confidence in the services I hope to provide. I am looking to be proficient and ready to carry out aerial photography/videography work around mid to end of November. This would be for example, but not limited to, construction site progress surveys, real estate promotional imagery, family events imagery, also structural integrity inspections, i.e. roof inspections, chimney breasts, guttering, eaves, etc, including pre-repair work and post-repair work for insurance purposes. Once I am fluent with the imagery work I will be undertaking some practical training to improve my data processing ability, which will enable me to carry out other Drone projects in construction, such as land mapping, volumetric surveys, topographical surveys and as-built surveys.
