13 years ago, we moved to England. Our children were born here, and this country has shaped a big part of our lives.

Back then, we didn’t leave because of politics, the economy, or public sentiment. We simply wanted to experience something new—and, of course, to truly learn the language. We spoke English when we arrived… or at least we thought we did. Turns out, “school English” didn’t exactly prepare us for real-life conversations, regional accents, or the eternal mystery of British small talk. 😄

Over time, we found our way. We learned that “You alright?” is a greeting, not a medical concern, and that tea really does solve everything. ☕ And although I miss my homeland and the friends and family we left behind every single day, the UK has become our second home.

Today, however, we feel a renewed sense of joy and hope. Hope that a better future may be built in Hungary. Hope that positive change could one day allow us to return and build our lives there, enriched by the experiences we’ve gained abroad.

For now, we wait and believe. Because the recent elections have shown that we Hungarians are capable of standing together for the promise of a better future. 🇭🇺✨

Celebrations last night! 🎉
The Tisza won on the banks of Hungary.

At last, unity has borne fruit. At last, there is hope for change—for a brighter future and a better Hungary. 🇭🇺✨

Looks like teamwork really does make the dream work… and yes, it was worth staying up for! 😉

📍ISTANBUL – where the coffee is stronger than your Wi-Fi signal, the cats act like they own the place (because they do), and you leave with a heart full of memories and a backpack that smells like a spice bazaar. ☕🐾🇹🇷

It’s personal, a bit nostalgic, and very much me (with caffeine-fueled thoughts and simit cravings included).

Wandering Through Istanbul – A Story from the Heart
There’s something magical about returning to a place you only knew as a child. In April, I walked through the bustling streets of Istanbul—guided by memories, tempted by the scent of street food, and warmed by endless cups of tea.

From the spice markets to sleepy ferry rides, I rediscovered the soul of the city—and a part of myself, too. 🌿✨

Istanbul, where childhood memories, vibrant markets, and the scent of tea blend into something magical.
This city gave me so much to feel, remember, and capture. I finally wrote it all down. Little stories, street food, snapshots and the feeling of being there again after so many years.

I spent Easter in Istanbul—because why not swap chocolate bunnies for baklava? 😄 What a magical, chaotic, wonderful place! I’ll write more about my adventures soon and, of course, share some pics so you can see how I saw this unforgettable city (spoiler: lots of cats and carbs).
