And last but not least was Vancouver. Where we started our tour and where we ended it! We stayed at the beautiful and the staff were incredible and made us feel so welcome! The highlight was definitely the tour where we FINALLY (after years of trying) saw Ocras! First image is mummy and baby orca! We have a pod or at least 15 swim past us and it was magical! Vancouver is our new favorite city of all time! It has the coolness of a city but with beautiful nature surrounding it! The people are also genuinely friendly and kind. If we ever win the lottery, you’ll find us there!

More from Vancouver Island! On our second day we went to Ucluelet and explored the Pan Pacific Rim which was just stunning. Then back to enjoy the last moments in our amazing room with a sunset from the balcony to die for!

Following Whistler we then travelled back towards Vancouver and got the ferry to Vancouver Island which I’ll spilt into 2 posts as it’s so beautiful! We stayed in the amazing in Tofino. This area of Vancouver island is just breathtaking! Our first day there was a mega storm so we had a wonder in the very cute Tofino town and ate at which was so yummy we then went back to our amazing room on the beach and watched the storm. We even braved it for a walk! The following morning the storm cleared and we had the most amazing walk in the rainforest with the more stunning light! More to come from the magical island!

Little pause there as I’ve been getting my final galleries delivered and getting our house sorted for Xmas (more on that soon). Next on our journey was the long drive from Jasper to Whistler (8hrs). During which we felt like we were in a Xmas movie to autumn gold! Such beautiful landscapes to then arrive at the amazing which was definitely one of our highlight hotels! It was only a brief stay in Whistler as we then travelled onto Vancouver Island but we will be back!

The stunning lake Louise was our next stop where we treated ourselves and stayed at the amazing where we had the most stunning view from our room. We then made our way to Jasper and stayed at the where the landscape was slightly different following the devastated wild fires of last year however I’m glad we went and supported businesses in this charming town who have been hit by the fires. On route we stopped for gorgeous views and waterfalls.

So many people asking about our Canada trip so I’m breaking the ‘don’t post non wedding content rule’ and will be sharing some highlights and details from our trip. After spending a few days in Vancouver (which I will cover in a different post) we flew to Calgary and then drove south to spend a few days at which is set the in incredible Peter Lougheed Park. The scenery here was incredible and the feeling of seeing such beauty with nobody around is something I will never forget! This area is far less touristy then some of the other popular locations in the Rockies and even though the roads were terrifying it was such a special part of our trip!
