Great birthday weekend away with the family on the Isle of Wight. Thank you to my amazing wife Julie Drew-Murphy for organising it.

I managed to get some cracking shots of the Needles despite the fact it was rather overcast for most of the morning.

They will be uploaded to my website once I’ve had a chance to review them.

And we’re at the needles 👌 but gloomy to start but as soon as we stepped on the beach the sun came out revealing the beautiful turquoise sea.

Corfe Castle at Golden hour.

What’s funny is the fact that prior to coming away I said to Jules..

I don’t really want to take pictures of Corfe castle.

Not sure why I made this statement, whether it was to do with my overly considerate nature regarding other people’s privacy or the simple fact that I find historic buildings difficult to capture…. Regardless I’m glad I did take these images and I’m really pleased with how they turned out considering I was using the mini 3 pro with zoom set to full.

***My flight was around and perimeter and not directly over the castle!***

Thank you Julie Drew-Murphy for braving Ikea today to get a frame for this print. It’s been sat in a binder for the past couple of weeks.

I am torn as to whether I sell this print or keep it 🤷🏻‍♂️

I took this photo back in September 2022, during our first ever visit to the Isle of Wight. I can’t believe that as a family we’ve never visited the island before. Safe to say we’ve been back a few more times since.
