Finding magic in the rainy days. 🌧️🍂

There is something quiet and captivating about stepping out right after a downpour. Rain transforms the simplest detail—like a single fallen oak leaf resting on a wet wooden bench—into a canvas of rich textures and glistening light.

Each raindrop acts as a tiny, natural magnifying lens, clinging to the ridges of the leaf and reflecting the soft, muted light overhead.

Capturing these moments is all about shifting focus: getting low, paying attention to the intricate veins, and letting the damp surroundings bring out those deep, dramatic tones.

Whether rendered in full warm color or stripped down to high-contrast black and white, rainy-day details bring out a whole different side of nature.

"I am a Jedi, like my father before me." 🌌⚔️

Combining two of my biggest passions—toy photography and Star Wars—to recreate one of the most iconic duels in cinematic history!

Setting up the Emperor's Throne Room in LEGO form was an absolute blast. From getting the dramatic, moody atmospheric lighting just right to capturing the intensity of Emperor Palpatine firing Force Lightning in the background while Luke Skywalker clashes lightsabers with Darth Vader, every detail of this shot was carefully crafted.

Toy photography lets me bring these legendary moments to life right on my desk, blending cinematic nostalgia with creative lighting techniques.

Let me know in the comments what’s your absolute favourite Star Wars scene you’d love to see brought to life in LEGO? 👇✨

SUnsets & Beaches

There is nothing quite like capturing the light in Greece.

From low-angle shoreline shots with sunbeams breaking through dramatic cloud cover to high-contrast wave textures crashing against the sand, coastal landscapes offer endless creative inspiration. Finishing the day with a silhouette shot of palm trees set against a deep orange sky was the absolute highlight of the shoot.

Behind the Shots:

Low Perspective: Getting right down into the wet sand gave that crisp footprint in the foreground a sense of scale and texture while catching the dramatic light breaking across the water.

Dynamic Action: Timing the shutter to freeze the ocean spray right as the wave broke added a burst of raw energy to the set.

Vibrant Silhouettes: Waiting for the sun to drop completely revealed incredible fiery gradient tones behind the palm treeline.

Everyone else travels to Crete for the sandy beaches and turquoise waters, but I seem to spend half my time staring at weathered entryways, sun-bleached steps, and crumbling arches.

There is something inherently captivating about the textures you find tucked away in Greek alleys and historic sites. Every cracked wooden panel, stone riser leading nowhere, and patch of peeling plaster tells a story of the people who walked those paths decades before. Whether it is an ancient arched doorway framed by wild cacti, an intimidating set of worn stone steps climbing into the harsh sunlight, or urban alleyways blending modern graffiti with old masonry, these details hold so much character.

Doors and stairs are the ultimate symbols of transition—where someone’s journey started, where they paused, or what lies hidden just out of frame. Beyond the history, the leading lines, hard shadows, and contrasting textures make them an absolute dream to frame up behind the lens.

Does anyone else find themselves obsessing over the random architectural details when they travel, or is it just me? Let me know which frame is your favorite!

🐾 "Never work with animals or children," they said. It’ll be easy, they said... 🐾

I recently had the absolute pleasure of shooting a gorgeous engagement session with a fantastic couple. The vision? Romantic piggyback rides, beautiful woodland backdrops, and their two lovely, majestic large dogs, Onyx and Misty, adding a touch of family charm.

The reality? Onyx and Misty decided they were the absolute stars of the show, and they had a completely different itinerary for the day. 😂

See how it actually went down:

The couple is nailing the romantic piggyback ride... meanwhile, in the foreground, a WWE heavy-weight title match has officially commenced. 🤼‍♂️

"Quick, look natural, the human is taking a photo!" Cue the ultimate, wide-eyed, pure derp photobomb of the century. I think this counts as a core memory. 🤪

Just trying to get a nice, dignified portrait of the two of them sitting nicely. Instead, someone got a direct paw to the face. "Shh, stop looking at the camera, I'm in charge here." ✋🐶

In all seriousness, while we got some beautiful "proper" photos, it’s always the bloopers that show the true, chaotic, and wonderful reality of life with fur babies!

Congratulations to the lovely couple—and a huge shoutout to Onyx and Misty for providing the absolute best entertainment behind the lens. 📸✨

I Had the absolute absolute pleasure of capturing this gorgeous group of girls getting all glammed up for their big night. From the stunning, vibrant dresses to that perfect balloon backdrop, everyone looked incredible.

There's nothing quite like the pre-prom buzz—the excitement, the laughs, and of course, a few proud parent moments (swipe to the end to see a classic dad cameo joining in on the fun! 💃🏼🕺🏻).

Wishing these girls the most amazing, unforgettable night.

Thank you for letting me capture these memories for you! 📸✨

bit of a throw back to when I headed to the legendary Leake Street Tunnel. There’s something raw and electric about a place where the walls change every single day.

Walking through the tunnel is a sensory overload—the smell of fresh spray paint, the dim glow of the arches, and the sheer talent layered on every brick. From haunting realism to bold, satirical statements, these shots capture just a fraction of the incredible street art currently lining the walls.

My favorite from this set has to be the contrast between the classic cherub and those predatory fangs. It perfectly sums up the vibe of the tunnel: beautiful, rebellious, and a little bit dark.

Capturing the Magic of Durdle Door 🌊📸

There are some locations that you see a thousand times online, but nothing quite prepares you for standing in front of them in person.

Durdle Door is absolutely one of those places.

The scale of the limestone arch, the clarity of the water, and the dramatic Dorset coastline make it a photographer's paradise.

I recently spent some time down on the beach capturing this iconic landmark from a few different perspectives, and I wanted to share a look behind the lens with you all!

The Grand Scale:

Looking down from the cliffs really puts the massive scale of the arch into perspective. I loved capturing the vibrant contrast between the limestone rock, the beautiful turquoise water, and the life on the beach below.

Art Mimicking Nature:

One of my favorite moments of the trip wasn't just capturing the landscape itself, but capturing someone else being inspired by it. I spotted this incredibly talented artist working on a stunning landscape painting right there on the path. There’s something special about seeing one creative medium document another!

A Different Perspective:

Getting down low on the shoreline allowed me to use the smooth, out-of-focus pebbles on the beach as a dramatic foreground, letting Durdle Door frame the horizon under a moody, atmospheric sky.

Whether the sun is cracking through or the clouds are rolling in, this slice of the Jurassic Coast never fails to deliver.

Which perspective is your favorite? The wide cliff views, the low-angle beach shot, or the candid moment of the artist at work? Drop a comment below! 👇
