Stop shooting Big Ben from the same spot…

London has some of the most iconic photography spots in the world — but the angles everyone uses? Done. These are the hidden frames, the ones that stop the scroll.

From shooting LOW on the Millennium Bridge cables with St Paul’s locked in the background, to ducking under Westminster Bridge for that arch shot most tourists walk straight past — these spots will level up your London shoots instantly.

We’re talking the raw graffiti energy of the Southbank Undercroft, The Shard punching through a dark stairwell gap, and St Paul’s framed through Thames foreshore pillars at low tide. Cinematic. Every. Single. One.

Save this before your next London trip and tag us in your shots — We want to see what you create.

The Undercroft — Southbank, London

Tucked beneath the Royal Festival Hall on London’s Southbank, the Undercroft has been one of the most iconic skateboarding spots in the world since skaters first claimed it in the early 1970s. What started as kids messing around under a brutalist arts complex quietly became a cultural institution.

Here, a skater launches off one of the Undercroft’s signature concrete blocks — popping off the edge, board breaking away beneath him, arms thrown out for balance as he hangs in the air for a split second. Every trick done here has been done on this same block, waxed by a thousand different hands over fifty years.

In 2013, plans to redevelop the space into retail units sparked one of the most significant preservation battles in British skateboarding history. The Long Live Southbank campaign mobilised thousands of signatures, drawing support from architects, artists and politicians. By 2014, the space was saved and granted protected status — recognised not just as a skate spot, but as a legitimate piece of London’s cultural heritage.

The graffiti covering every surface isn’t vandalism. It’s a living archive. Some of those tags go back decades.

This is what fifty years of subculture looks like. Concrete, commitment, and community.

Eye Through An Eye

The city has a way of hiding things in plain sight.
Behind this forgotten, sticker-covered railing the London Eye glows quietly in the dark.
Same street. Different frame. Black and white series, more coming.

One of my favourite images from last nights street walk. With Shane Lawrence

I was lucky enough to capture this moment of Lucia whilst walking down Southbank.

Focused on the hunt - Watch this Gray Heron as it goes wading through the pond, leaning in with precision. While they are often seen standing quietly at the water’s edge, they are highly effective hunters in wetland habitats like this.

Check out that sharp black eyebrow and white crown-nature’s perfect camouflage for a master fisher.

Taking flight shots of small birds is hard — taking them of a kingfisher mid-dive is near impossible, even with the best autofocus.

I've been finding new ways to imagine and capture these moments in flight.

These three frames represent hours of waiting for just a few seconds of action.

The king of the rivers…

In the quiet of the riverbank, a tiny jewel waits.
Then, in a sudden shimmer of blue, the kingfisher falls into motion —
a perfect dive, a moment of wild precision, gone almost as soon as it begins.

Wiser word, never spoken…
