Georgie and Adam got married last Saturday and their wedding was such a joy to photograph! The ceremony took place in the village church of Stanford in the Vale before everyone headed to for a sun-drenched drinks reception and wedding breakfast. On the way to the church we even stopped at Georgie’s childhood home to take a few photos in her parents’ garden. It’s good to be back!

If enchanting landscapes appeal to you more than palatial conservatories, Kew Gardens might be the perfect venue for you. Even though this is London’s largest botanical garden, The Nash Conservatory, The Orangery and its many glasshouses help it retain a beautiful, architectural charm.

For a few years now gardening has been one of my main hobbies (still waiting for my loyalty card!), so I am absolutely thrilled whenever I have the opportunity to photograph a wedding at . Many of the couples I have photographed here share that same appreciation for nature or sustainability, which always makes for a great connection.

Depending on which season you choose for your wedding, the plants will look vastly different, so do keep this in mind. Still, the glasshouses mean that you can easily find a beautiful, green backdrop even in the height of winter.

My top tip for a Kew Gardens wedding: Come up with three to five locations you’d like to visit during couple portraits. Depending on the time of day and the location of your ceremony, the staff at Kew Gardens will suggest which ones to prioritise and which order to do them in. They normally provide a buggy to take us between them, meaning you spend less time walking and more time with your guests.

Syon Park is where my wife and I got married last year, so of course it’s the first venue in ‘The Showstoppers’ section of my guide for Southwest London’s best wedding venues!

is one of England’s most iconic venues and it truly has everything - beautifully grand indoor and outdoor spaces, luxurious on-site accommodation (that sleeps 12) and the most incredible wedding events team in Victoria, Laura and Tori who will work tirelessly to make sure that your day runs flawlessly. I have loved working with them (and the rest of the team) since being added to their recommended suppliers list in 2019 – it’s been a privilege to photograph weddings there.

At Syon, your wedding will likely start as you get ready in the Hotspur Wing, followed by your ceremony in the Great Hall, drinks in the inner courtyard and dinner in the show-stopping Great Conservatory. Each space feels uniquely distinct from the last - the Hotspur Wing feels very British, while the Great Hall (with its stunning marble floors and statues) has a very Italian feel to it. Unlike other venues like Kew Gardens and Hampton Court Palace, Syon Park is fully closed to the public during your wedding which makes it feel exceptionally private.

My top tip for a Syon Park wedding: The only type of confetti that is allowed in the inner courtyard is dried lavender, which can easily end up inside your dress and start to become itchy as the day goes on. Why not ask your guests to blow bubbles instead? If you want a wall of bubbles, I highly recommend entrusting one of your bridesmaids or ushers with a bubble cannon. We did this at our wedding and it looked incredible in the photos! Just make sure to test the bubbles on the fabric type of your dress ahead of time, to make sure they don’t stain.

I’ve spent the last ten years and hundreds of weddings learning the ins and outs of all the beautiful venues in Richmond and Southwest London. Today, I’ve finally put everything I know into a proper guide that’s over 3,000 words long.

What I covered:

🏛️ The Showstoppers: From the last private estate in London to Royal Palaces.
🌿 Riverside Elegance: Chic, considered, and quintessentially “Richmond”.
💎 Intimately Classic: Why you don’t need a £20k venue to get that “grand” feeling.

Whether you’ve only started looking at wedding venues or are already trying to figure out if a double-decker bus will actually fit down that Richmond side street - this is for you. Link in bio.

Before wedding season kicks off in a few weeks, I had the privilege of photographing the last date of the UK arena tour in Manchester and all I can say is that , (and ) knocked it out of the park. Brides, if you need some inspiration for your party outfits, head to slide 11-13 and take your pick. This was so much fun to shoot.

A lot of people worked incredibly hard to make this show happen, among them…

There’s something magical about seeing your wedding photos in print!

I’ve spent this week designing Hannah and Mitch’s wedding album, which has just been sent to the workshop at .

My favourite part of the process is definitely seeing which photos couples end up choosing for their album. Sometimes our favourites are identical, and other times I can end up with a whole new appreciation for the day, discovering little moments I might have missed.

Is anyone else a firm believer in printing out their photos? 🎉

Last month I also had the pleasure of photographing Lydia and Daniel’s intimate ceremony at York House. We spent some time taking portraits around the gorgeous grounds before heading to for their reception.

My 2026 has been off to a fantastic start, and it all kicked off with Jumi an Yanbo’s intimate ceremony last month. After getting married at Wandsworth Town Hall Jumi, Yanbo and their three guests walked to one of their favourite coffee shops, to soak in the winter sunshine. I love just how relaxed this day felt!
