There is something so therapeutic about farrier day. The rhythmic sound of the rasp, the smell of the forge, and the incredible skill it takes to keep our four-legged partners balanced, sound, and performing at their best.

Having owned Gilly since 2017, I’ve watched this process plenty of times, but capturing it through the lens gives you a whole new appreciation for the details.

The technical stuff matters, but understanding the horse matters more…

It’s not just about pointing a camera; it’s about understanding behaviour and biomechanics, seeing the stride, and knowing exactly when to press the shutter button. That’s the difference between a snapshot and art, and that’s where a you need a professional.
