There’s something really special about walking back through a family’s front door and being greeted by familiar faces.
A few years ago, I was here photographing this family as they welcomed baby number two. This time, I returned to meet baby number three—and what a difference a few years makes.
The tiny newborn I first photographed is now a proud older sibling, joined by an equally enthusiastic partner in crime. Together they brought all the energy, chatter, cuddles, and wonderfully unpredictable moments you’d expect from two little people adjusting to life with a new baby in the house.
This is exactly why I love in-home newborn sessions. No pressure to be anywhere else, no perfectly curated scenes—just a family settling into a new rhythm in the place they feel most comfortable.
And yes, there there were little stop and starts. There were snack breaks, cuddles needed, and plenty of sibling negotiations. But that’s the good stuff. That’s real life.
Being invited back to document another chapter for this lovely family is such a privilege. Watching families grow and being trusted to preserve these moments is something I’ll never stop feeling grateful for.
Welcome to the world, little one. You’ve landed in a family full of love, laughter, and two very excited siblings.
