⚖️SENTENCED⚖️

Jonathan Goldsmith (pictured) has been sentenced for r**e. He targeted vulnerable women across Berkshire, Oxfordshire and London, using violence, threats and blackmail.

Thanks to the extraordinary courage of the victims, he has now been brought to justice.

Goldsmith was found guilty of seven counts of r**e and one count of blackmail, following a three-week trial at Reading Crown Court.

He was sentenced to 28-years imprisonment, with four of those years on licence.

A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said:

This relates to the robbery of a man around 9pm. He had his watch stolen by the offender, a man.

We are carrying out enquiries at the scene but would appeal to anyone with information or footage from the area, near to the Tesco Express on Oxford Road, to contact us You can call 101 or leave details on our website, quoting reference 43260269776.

The victim is currently in hospital receiving treatment for a leg injury.

No arrests have been made at this time.

🚨 This evening, a 17-year-old boy from Reading has been charged following a fatal stabbing of a man in Reading on Saturday 23 May.

He has been charged with one count each of murder and possession of an offensive weapon and is due to appear in Reading magistrates' court tomorrow.

The two teenage boys from Reading who were arrested on suspicion of murder earlier today both remain in custody at this time.

Hassan Nour, aged 38, of Mandela Close in Brent, London, has been jailed for two years and eight months after pleading guilty to:

👉 One count of possession with intent to supply he**in
👉 One count of possession with intent to supply co***ne
👉 Possession of cannabis

On 13 January this year, Nour spotted officers in the Kings Meadow area and attempted to run away from them along the Thames towpath. He was arrested and police located 18 wraps of he**in and crack co***ne on the edge of the riverbank, with a further 51 wraps located nearby.

Drug dealing brings harm and misery to our communities and exploits vulnerable people. We will continue to target and disrupt those responsible.

🚨 Further update on murder investigation – Reading

Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Unit has provided an update in the murder investigation following a fatal stabbing of a man in Reading on Saturday 23 May.

Two further arrests have been made; two teenage boys from Reading have been arrested on suspicion of murder today (27/5) and they both remain in custody at this time.
