I’m sharing this because real life isn’t curated.
Sometimes the room is messy, the load is heavy, and the strongest thing you can do is stop.

If you’ve ever found yourself in the chaos, in the exhaustion, in the “I can’t do one more thing” moment, you’re not alone.
You’re not failing.
You’re overwhelmed.
And overwhelmed people deserve support, not shame.

I’m going to be really honest for a minute, because pretending everything is fine is exhausting and I’m too tired for the performance.

The biggest audience I’ve ever had on here was when I posted about meeting Prince Harry on a plane.
Not my work. Not my craft. Not the thing I’ve poured years of my life into.
A celebrity moment.

And I can’t build a business on celebrity moments.
I can’t chase viral stories.
I can’t hop on planes hoping to bump into royalty.

What I can do is show up with my camera and create the kind of high‑end, luxury photography that I’m proud of.

When I post my actual life’s work what keeps Kerry Green Photography alive, I’m getting crumbs. Literal crumbs. A polite cough from the algorithm and a pat on the head.

And the reality is if I don’t get the audience, I don’t get the clients.
If I don’t get the clients, I don’t have a business.

I’m showing you my best work. This is luxury, high‑end photography. And I know not everyone realises that because the algorithm doesn’t exactly roll out the red carpet for small businesses unless we’re dangling giveaways or posting shock value.
But I can’t do giveaways. I’m already giving so much of myself away for free.
And I can’t lower my prices not when I know the quality I deliver.

Before anyone says “take a course” or “join a program”, mate, I’m a carer. I don’t have the time. I’ve yet to see a rags‑to‑riches story about a SEN mum building an empire, but here I am, trying anyway.

So I’m asking for your help.
A like, a comment, a share.
That’s it. That’s the whole ask.

Because if the algorithm can push me down because I’m not posting royal encounters, then maybe you lot can push me back up by showing it that my work, my BEST ACTUAL work, deserves to be seen.

If you’re here, if you see this, if you support small businesses, women in business, carers, SEN mums, or just me trying to keep my small business going, please interact with this post.
It makes a bigger difference than you know.

If you can’t be bothered to listen to 9 minutes of me, here’s the transcript of my Live🎙️

I recently shared a reel encouraging people to vote with empathy. To think about vulnerable families when they tick that box.

There’s a comment on that reel that says families like mine are a “massive drain on society” and called me a “grifter.” Then, in the same breath, blamed “foreigners” for taking money that could supposedly help us.

So which is it? Are families like mine the problem, or are “foreigners” the problem? Because that logic doesn’t hold up and it’s exactly the kind of ignorance that keeps communities divided instead of supported.

When you’re a parent or carer of a disabled child, you quickly learn that “it takes a village” doesn’t apply. There isn’t a village, not because people don’t care, but because the expertise needed to support SEND families isn’t available.
Due to lack of funds. That expertise should exist within the community, funded by local authorities, so parents can work, contribute, and live without burning out.

Calling carers “grifters” is laughable. Many of us have careers. I run a successful business, but not everyone can, because caring is a full-time job. The real issue isn’t families asking for help; it’s the lack of infrastructure that forces them to do everything alone.

So here’s the education bit:
👉 Support systems aren’t charity they’re equality.
👉 Inclusion isn’t optional it’s a legal duty.
👉 And empathy isn’t weakness it’s wisdom.

If you’re going to comment on someone’s lived experience, at least understand the system you’re talking about. Otherwise, you’re just moonwalking through ignorance 😉

Being a carer doesn’t come with luxury perks. It comes with resilience, advocacy, and a whole lot of unpaid overtime.
