A good slip is vital for a competitive time in the Vowley Hunt Race, as Mike Hewlett of Pitsford falcons demonstrated here. His falcon, Thelma, went on to post a time of 2mins 01seconds and claimed first place in the 2022 Open Hunt Race.

Organisation for the 2023 Vowley Falcon Races is well underway, with dates confirmed for the 16th and 17th of September 2023. Plans are being put in place for stall holders and exhibitors, and updates on the race formats for this year will be released.
