Really pleased that the Argus preferred my Inulas over all the beautiful sunflower photos that have been submitted recently too! My thanks to Debbie for letting me know it was in the paper today. 🙂

This is my first go at cyanotype printing. (Masking out shapes onto sun-sensitive paper and then leaving it out in the sun for the paper to develop and leave the shapes). I bought a set from Hobbycraft just to try it out. I was a bit disappointed with the outcome as it is a bit grainy and also I didn't realise the kit contained different colours of the printing paper and this one was pink. I had to open the paper pack in a darkened room and that was the first sheet that came out of the pack. 😄🙄- I was hoping for the traditional blue and white image. I made the hare stencil from one of my recent photos and pressed some flowers from my garden. I think the flowers may have let light in somehow as they weren't pressed enough. It said press them for two hours when actually I reckon two weeks would have been better! Interesting though. I can't wait to try another one to see if I can get a sharper print next time.

Well, I spent most of this afternoon choosing and editing three photos to enter into the Countryfile Calendar Competition, thinking for some reason that the closing date was midnight tonight. Imagine how disappointed I felt when I discovered that the competition had actually closed at 10am this morning! No idea how on earth I got the time so wrong! 🙄😄 I took the photos yesterday evening-I had a magical time photographing all the hares that suddenly appeared when I set up my camera on its tripod. I wore colours that would camouflage me and they certainly did as one hare moved nearer and nearer to where I was standing and then quickly ran away in the opposite direction when it suddenly saw me. And another one came rushing past right by my feet! It was wonderful. Hares and wildflowers are a great mix. Wouldn't it be an annoying coincidence if a hare photograph actually won this year's Countryfile Calendar Competition though! 😄

I am still going through all the photos I took of hares a couple of weeks ago, but I just had to share this one as it was the first time I have ever seen a baby hare! 🥰
