A FRESH PERSPECTIVE ON SCOTTISH LOCATIONS:
With the arrival of Guillermo del Toro’s stunning gothic horror interpretation of Mary Shelley’s classic, Frankenstein, on Netflix, the rest of the world has been captivated once again by the exceptional quality and totally unique aesthetic of Scotland’s locations as a backdrop for film, commercials and fashion.
From Glasgow Cathedral to Parliament Square and Lady Stair’s Close in Edinburgh to Gosford House in East Lothian - these are locations LS Productions know intimately. Listed in our extensive, industry-leading Locations Library, they are places we have filmed and produced work in many times, and it’s a thrill to see them shot so beautifully in this film.
It also seemed like a great moment to share a sneak preview of our new drone recce and scouting service, with demo footage we captured at Gosford House earlier this year.
Combining the high aerial shots of the DJI Mavic Pro 4 Mini with the eye-level shots of the DJI Avata 2, LS are able to bring a fresh perspective on any location, enabling partners to review production needs extensively from all angles.
