From a recent photoshoot at The Secret Watermill in Borrowdale, Lake District.

Now I know why it's called 'The Secret Watermill' - it was really difficult to find. It took me nearly an hour to find it. I almost gave up. I'm so glad I didn't.

The watermill dates back to the early 18th century. In 2024 it was undergoing building work, and was encased in tarpaulin and scaffolding. Luckily, it was finished when I went. The watermill used to be covered in moss, which made it even more photogenic (in my opinion). But, still a lovely place to photograph.

The once derelict watermill has been completey refurbished, and is now privately owned. Apparently it's now used as a bunkhouse, and it's been adapted for overnight stays and group bookings.
