I find one of the best places to photograph the Scafell Ridge is from The boulders beyond Three tarns. It's relatively easy to get to The Three tarns from The Langdale Valley and you then have options to either continue and go up Bowfell or to turn left and go over Crinkle Crags and then back down to the valley. A great days hike. Feel free to share.

Just spent a few days with my daughter and her partner trying to photograph the Otters on Mull. Stopped off at a few places on the way - Rannoch Moor, Glencoe, Kilchurn Castle, Castle Stalker and Glen Orchy. Saw the White Tailed Eagles but no photographs this time - just makes you want to go again as it's such a beautiful island. Feel free to share.

I have just come back after a three day break visiting the Yorkshire coast with two friends. This is an image of a Barn Owl hunting at dusk at Bempton Cliffs. I loved the show the Gannets were doing along the cliff edge but I must admit I got a great deal of enjoyment photographing the smaller birds along the hedgerows and this very cute Barn Owl with it's eye on a Reed Bunting directly below it's line of sight. That was a complete bonus as I didn't see the Reed Bunting until I got home. Feel free to share.

When visiting Holy Island recently i noticed many of these stone piles near Lindisfarne. They must have taken people many hours of patience constructing them as well as having some talent knowing which stones work and which don't work. I'm always up for taking something different but it did take me some time in focus stacking several images and waiting for Lindisfarne to be free of visitors ! Feel free to share.

I know this shot has been done to death but I haven't got it until now. It's hard on the back getting down low enough nowadays but I think it's a shot that works which is I suppose why lots of people have captured it. A great perspective of a beautiful and famous Castle. Feel free to share.

This is Dunstanburgh Castle from Turner's View. JMW Turner famously sketched this view in the late 18th century when he was only 22 years old. When you plant your tripod down and compose your composition you can see why this view meant so much to the artist and has now been photographed and admired by both walkers and photographers alike. This was the first time I had visited Bamburgh when it was very windy. From the beach I could see the Marram Grass was moving quite significantly so thought this might make a nice image especially with some colourful light. When I got into the heart of the grass there were images everywhere - a really special place especially in the wind !! Feel free to share.

Just spent a great couple of mornings photographing Derwentwater in the early morning light. The clouds and mist soon disappeared when the sun eventually came out making for some lovely conditions around this much loved location. Feel free to share.

It has just been over ten years ago now in 2015 that Keswick and Cumbria suffered by the hands of one of the worst floods our community had seen. I was doing a course, which obviously was cancelled, so was in the area the day after. I felt so sorry for all the residents and businesses affected but with great community spirit everyone joined together to help all those in need. I felt so humble that day but also with great pride in seeing everyone come together to help whoever or wherever they could. Feel free to share.
