Did you know? This magnificent red-brick building opened its doors in 1883 as a railway hotel. It was built to accommodate the growing number of first-class passengers travelling through Preston during the golden age of rail travel.

Over the years, it has played host to royalty – including the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII) – as well as Prime Minister Stanley Baldwin and entertainer Gracie Fields.

Haslam Park is one of the best parks in Preston!

If you want to live in Preston, you’d better love the rain. ☔ Otherwise, you'll spend 70% of your life whinging about "bad weather."

Last week I went out in a light drizzle – Preston Docks was nearly empty. Had to use an umbrella to protect my camera , but honestly? Lovely weather. A little drizzle doesn't hurt much

Just a perfect day by the coast. 🌊 There’s nothing quite like the iconic windmill at Lytham St Annes. It’s amazing how this landmark never gets old, no matter how many times you visit.
