Snapseed, developed by Google, continues to evolve with a steady stream of updates for the iOS version, making one of the most popular mobile editing apps even more powerful.
A recent major addition is the built-in camera, allowing photographers to capture images directly within Snapseed before moving instantly into editing. It includes optional manual controls for ISO, shutter speed and focus, along with flash and zoom, giving greater creative control at the moment of capture.
The camera also integrates with Snapseed’s saved Looks and edit stacks, meaning adjustments can be applied at the point of capture and refined afterwards. A selection of film-inspired presets, influenced by classic stocks from brands such as Kodak and Fujifilm, adds further creative options, alongside customisable interface colour themes.
In my new presentation/workshop 'Mastering Snapseed", I explore the app’s full feature set and demonstrate a practical Snapseed workflow, showing how to move seamlessly from capture to creative finish using one of the most capable photo apps available on a smartphone or tablet.
The presentation is suitable for both iOS and Android users and is now available for camera clubs to book for the 2026/2027 season. https://adrianmcgarry.com/talks-and-workshops
