Snapseed, developed by Google, continues to evolve with a steady stream of updates for the iOS version, making one of the most popular mobile editing apps even more powerful.
A recent major addition is the built-in camera, allowing photographers to capture images directly within Snapseed before moving instantly into editing. It includes optional manual controls for ISO, shutter speed and focus, along with flash and zoom, giving greater creative control at the moment of capture.

The camera also integrates with Snapseed’s saved Looks and edit stacks, meaning adjustments can be applied at the point of capture and refined afterwards. A selection of film-inspired presets, influenced by classic stocks from brands such as Kodak and Fujifilm, adds further creative options, alongside customisable interface colour themes.

In my new presentation/workshop 'Mastering Snapseed", I explore the app’s full feature set and demonstrate a practical Snapseed workflow, showing how to move seamlessly from capture to creative finish using one of the most capable photo apps available on a smartphone or tablet.

The presentation is suitable for both iOS and Android users and is now available for camera clubs to book for the 2026/2027 season. https://adrianmcgarry.com/talks-and-workshops

Back on Zoom tonight presenting to Dwyfor Camera Club in Abersoch. My talk is image-led and explores what’s creatively possible with a smartphone camera, looking at key features, techniques and examples from my own work. Looking forward to meeting some new faces and enjoying the discussion that always comes from these evenings. https://adrianmcgarry.com/dwyfor-camera-club-2025

Tonight I’m live with Preston Photographic Society. We're only halfway through February but this will be my seventh presentation of 2026. Every club is different. Different questions. Different energy. That’s the part I love. https://adrianmcgarry.com/preston-photographic-society-2026

Photographs have always been reused without permission. Anyone who shares work publicly accepts that risk. What has changed is how fast and simple it has become to take an existing image, alter a few elements and attempt to profit from work that isn’t yours.

Another evening, another club, another chance to talk iPhone photography.
After a great session last night with Webheath, I’m really looking forward to tonight’s presentation with Eastbourne Photographic Society.
We’ll be looking at how far smartphone photography can be pushed creatively, from everyday shooting to long exposure, movement, and finding your own visual voice. Ideas, inspiration, and making the most of the camera you already carry.
Always a pleasure sharing work and chatting photography with camera clubs. See you later, Eastbourne.

Adrian McGarry iPhone Photography

The iPhone has been my preferred camera since 2013. Motivating others to take the next steps on their smartphone image-making journey has become somewhat of a passion. I host numerous workshops, seminars and live demonstrations - sharing my images, workflows, techniques and knowledge. I never tire of presenting inspirational talks and workshops to groups, clubs, companies and individual one-to-one sessions. I believe that my enthusiasm and love for photography and visual arts is one of the reasons why my events are so well received and popular. Read More at www.adrianmcgarry.com
