A grand day out at Himley Hall
For those who don't know it
It’s over in Staffordshire
Originally the home to the Earls of Dudley
But
Back to my story
I was over there with my girlfriend and her dog, Heidi
Beautiful grounds, sweeping landscapes
Naturally, I had my trusty Panasonic Lumix and 12-60mm kit lens with me
As a sports and landscape photographer, I just couldn’t resist
While we were walking, we spotted the Himley Croquet Club in full swing right on the lawns
The perfect chance to practice some action shots
Just in a much more relaxed setting than a football pitch
A massive thanks to my girlfriend for her patience while I stopped to frame the shots
And to Heidi for being the best tour guide
It just goes to show
You don't need the most expensive gear in the world to capture a great moment
You just need a good eye
And great company
