This is the perfect time of year to capture family portraits outdoors, but any time of the year is special for a family shoot in the comfort of your home. Indoors or outdoors offers its own unique benefits. Being at home means you have everything you need nearby, which can be especially helpful if you have young children or family members with special educational needs. I don't rely heavily on posed shots; instead, I focus on capturing the genuine happiness, joy, and lovable quirks that naturally shine through from your family.

Lovely shoot last weekend with Ruby from Glow.by.loulou
I could call it a brand shoot, but I'd rather say it was just me and Ruby making some pics together. No studio, not a lot of planning, but lots of pics she can use over her socials. Ruby makes beautiful, natural skin products. And they work!

I truly love my work. One moment, I'm capturing a sleep-out in Blackpool, a wedding in London and the next, I’m immersed in a retreat in Portugal.
Most of last week, I was asked to document the heartfelt activities at 9 Arches, nestled in the Portuguese countryside of Combria.
I met some of the most incredible people, hosted by beautiful Jess and her kind-hearted mum, Silvia, who are genuinely wonderful souls. During my stay, I was fortunate to receive a head, neck, and back massage, followed by relaxing sessions in the sauna and steam room, and I even participated in aqua aerobics. I listened to the nutritionist, as well as fitness, yoga, and a feng shui practitioner. I'm now rearranging all the furniture.
I also enjoyed wandering around the charming village, hunting for doors.
I stayed just nearby with Denise at her cosy Airbnb.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner at 9 Arches were delicious. I just wish I could have stayed longer to soak in more of the retreat's warmth and care.

I'm running my beginners’ photography workshop again, this time at the Bourne Arms in Knott End, starting on June 25th. There will be two sessions to choose from - a day session and an evening session. Due to limited space, only 8 people can join each session. Two spots in the evening session are already taken, so if you're interested, please contact me soon to reserve your spot!
You do need a camera.
