Visiting a zoo can evoke mixed feelings. Some of the animals might not even be on Earth anymore.
On the other hand, it is painful to see how energyless and sad these animals and primates appear.

Wildes Bergparadies im Durmitor-Nationalpark!

Dieses Foto zeigt genau das, was ⁠Montenegro fĂŒr mich so magisch macht. Die mĂ€chtige Bergkette im Hintergrund ist Teil einer spektakulĂ€ren Eiszeitlandschaft, ĂŒber die der ⁠Bobotov K*k thront.

Mit stolzen ⁠2.523 Metern ist er der höchste Gipfel des gesamten Massivs und ein absolutes Highlight fĂŒr jeden Bergsteiger. Der Nationalpark selbst gehört zum ⁠UNESCO-Weltnaturerbe und schĂŒtzt eine unberĂŒhrte Natur aus urzeitlichen NadelwĂ€ldern und 18 tiefblauen Gletscherseen. Nur eine kurze Fahrt entfernt liegt ein weiteres Naturwunder der Extraklasse: die ⁠Tara-Schlucht.

Mit einer Tiefe von bis zu ⁠1.333 Metern ist sie die tiefste Schlucht Europas und die zweittiefste der ganzen Welt!

Ein wilder, rauer Ort, den man am liebsten gar nicht mehr verlassen möchte.

This guy, Saga natoliae, was holding court on the rocky shore of Lake Skadar today and had absolutely no interest in moving.
Spent about some minutes flat on the ground getting this shot. He just kept staring. Respect.

Lake Skadar is the largest lake in the Balkans and a national park — didn't expect the wildlife encounters to start this close to the waterline.
