This year is a fallow year for to allow the grass to grow. This is a photo taken in 1971, the second Glastonbury and the first year of the Pyramid stage built of scaffolding, expanding metal sheeting and plastic reaching 25 feet tall. Arthur Brown gave one of the most legendary and terrifying performances of “God of Hellfire” wearing a horned helmet with strobe light, smoke and fire. 12,000 people screamed !
