Monday morning’s Full Buck Supermoon dropping towards Portsmouth’s Spinnaker Tower. I've attempted to grab a Full Moon shot crossing the tower, literally for years.

The skies were clear looking towards the west and the big ball of orange of photography juiciness was heading bang on its target 🎯

The initial excitement was shortlived.. Just as it started crossed the Tower the cloud drifted over.... 'Next time Gadget, next time' comes to mind.. 👍👍🤞🤞📸📸

On Wednesday night I was lucky enough to get an invite to see my old pal Emma Brammer and the others of her awesome vocalist trio and of the trio singing with with Noel Gallagher and his High Flying Birds at the Harbour-side Amphitheatre for Bristol Sounds Music Festival Week.

The Sun was toasty, the drinks were flowing and the birds were flying high as their spirits were too. This was the bands last gig prior to Pyramid Staging it at the 1st Glastonbury Festival since Covid messed up live music!!

I was very, very glad to be invited and even more so not to be disappointed by the evening. A gorgeous setting on a beautiful day in Brizzle, incidentally the home town, of one of my oldest pals, Tall Tom, .

I really enjoyed the first part of the set Noel’s newer writings on the set list…..but the earlier tracks he wrote for Oasis, (that I personally grew up on), had me and loads of the crowd captivate in the later half as the sun dropped as the crowd bounced to Wonderwall and a few other classics.

Too see Emma on stage in another amazing setting was pretty darn cool, even more so to catch up after and be invited back stage to meet the band. Thank you ladies and gents that I met, you’re like my pal Emma, decent and pretty darn cool.

Overall it was an awesome gig and a great Bristol crowd on a sunny afternoon and evening, just what was required 😊 Enjoy the main stage at Glastonbury…you lucky brilliant bandstuards 😉

Any of my first outdoor gig shots any good Shaz? I managed to get a great spot just above the level of the crowd, right of the sound booth and a cracking view of the stage, Using my fastest lense at F1,4 & F2, plus the crop factor…..Maybe not enough reach…..but worth the effort I think? …..another batch to follow, in-fact loads to follow …..Hope you got that Tattoo you were after and a decent swim, somewhere for a goodyin and then a shower? Thanks again for the chats n tips, you’ll get an invite to my first photography exhibition 😊 This is not the end, simply the start of a new beginning…

So this was tonight, a couple of minutes after the sun dropped down on the horizon looking out over Porchester Harbour, by the entry to Port Solent Marina.

A gorgeous colourful sunset, enhanced by a long exposure that let's the light bounce off the watery foreground.
