And the momentum continues 🤝🏻

We can confirm that today - with the help from our Local MP - a letter was sent to the relevant Minister for the Mental Health Department of Health and Social Care regarding our campaign to make it a legal requirement to display mental health helplines on all alcohol products.

We have advised we will welcome their views on consulting with mental health charities, su***de prevention organisations, healthcare professionals, and the alcohol industry to develop an effective and consistent approach, as well as exploring whether alcohol products should carry health messaging similar to other products where there are recognised public health risks.

In June, we sat down with our local MP to discuss The Brotherhood Mission and the importance of adding mental health helplines onto all alcohol products and how we can push this to make it a legal requirement. Here’s what the proposed actions were during our meeting:

🟦 A letter will be written to the relevant Government Minister to consider our proposal following the ongoing petition.

🟦 Our MP will also reach out directly to UK alcohol brands and leading supermarkets on our behalf to propose a trial run after we provided some mockup designs.

These are big actions which we welcome, as we continue to push this campaign to a more national level. It’s not too late to show your support by signing the petition below 👇🏼

As we continue rolling out The Brotherhood Mission, we’re working to integrate our JCO Media and The Brotherhood Mission pages into one - ensuring all updates reach the widest possible audience.

We’ll still be sharing all of our latest creations, but with a more streamlined approach. Our film Flatline remains very much a work in progress, and we’re committed to ensuring it reaches the highest possible quality before filming begins.

The Brotherhood Mission podcast pilot episode is also underway. We are currently in the post-production stage as we refine how it will be delivered.

We hope you’ll continue to join us on this journey as we work toward making it a legal requirement for mental health helplines to be displayed on all alcohol products. 🩵
