Bimbles With A Camera

We had parked the van close to a lake - 4 euro for 24 hours which is unheard of in Switzerland. The previous day had been warm and we spent most of it under the shade of the trees watching the locals swim and paddle in the lake.

The following morning I packed the kit and headed back down to the waters edge, the pre-sunrise colour already promising. It was, however, only as the light started to develop that I realised the clouds were all rather funky and so reframed the composition to remove the lake, instead filling most of it with those clouds. ...

It had rained most of the day, which while great for a cheeky 10k trail run up and down the valley floor, wasn't really conducive to photography. Sitting in the van with around 30 minutes before sunset I realised the colour temperature had shifted quite a bit and noticed that while there was little chance of dramatic colour, the mood was rather interesting.

The other benefit from the heavy rain was that a number of new waterfalls had formed; well it is known as the valley of the waterfalls ...

This was probably the most intense the colour got with it soon shifting to a more typical blue-hour tint.

And given we were staying at a campsite no need to rush over to the falls for a quick shower ... we were washing in luxury tonight lads :)
