I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been shortlisted for the prestigious Picture Editors’ Guild Awards for my portrait of Maria holding a bouquet of sunflowers, which was published on the front page of The Sunday Times last year to mark Ukraine’s Independence Day 🇺🇦🌻. To have reached this stage came as a total surprise and the phone call telling me I’d been shortlisted came completely out of the blue! The winner will now be decided by public vote and it would mean so much to me if you could spare a moment to vote for my photograph please🌟. Link to vote as follows, picture for reference below in the comments (think you have to click “start” at the bottom of the webpage to be taken to the images to vote) thank you ❤️:

I have posted a survey titled 'UK Picture Editors Guild Awards Photograph of the Year' on SurveyMars. Please help me by filling it out. Thank you very much!

All dropped off 😊. Now to enjoy coffee and some sun ☀️.-----

I’m so proud to share that my photograph ‘Sestry’ has been selected for the second round of judging at the Taylor Wessing Photo Portrait Prize 2026 at the National Portrait Gallery. It’s something I never expected, it’s taken me several years just to tell myself to enter the competition!

Taylor Wessing Photo Prize is one of the most prestigious portrait photography prizes in the world and receives thousands of entries from photographers internationally. To have reached this stage as an independent photographer means everything.

Thank you to Lisa and Kate as well ❤️🤗. I’m sure we are still drying out after all the rain that day!

Hiraeth. ❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 It doesn't have an English translation, but if you're Welsh, you don't need to be a Welsh speaker to know what it means. Chances are, you've felt it. 🤗

Randles continued: “I don’t expect everyone to fully understand the word nor do I think they need to, what matters is the feeling"

The Wales-born photographer is showcasing her work at the National Botanic Garden of Wales in Carmarthenshire this month, in an exhibition titled 'Hiraeth'.
